How Big uses AV industry standards to calculate the the recommended screen size based upon what type of application environment the screen is being used, and how far the farthest viewer will be from the screen.
This app is handy for the professional AV Consultant or Design Engineer, Architect, as well as Facilities Management and end users.
Take the guesswork out of selecting a screen size- make sure you know what size screen you need based upon your application.
The calculations How Big uses are based upon inches, feet, centimeters or meters- you choose the easiest measurement to input the distance to the farthest viewer.
You simply enter this measurement, select your Aspect Ratio (4:3, 16:9, or 6:10), and choose your Viewing Type (Critical, Average, Casual, or anything in between). Then, press "Calculate" and you are provided with the recommended display Height, Width, and Diagonal for your specific application.
